Detailing...

It has been a while since I have posted. Just been busy with work. I have decided to finish off this turtle creature... just going through and detailing the forms now. I have been looking at a lot of snapping turtle, alligators and croc reference. I still have a load to do... its just a painstaking process, I'm going for hand sculpting the lot.

She-Ra Lunch crunch

The last crunch was along the theme of He-man so I deccided to create She-Ra... here is what I came up with... I bit off more than what I could chew but I do plan on finishing it, I still need to refine the sculpt and details and it has some simple polypaint applied...

Winged Creature update!

A small update... still have a lot of surface detail to do. I have added some spikes along the spine and also some smaller poisonous darts around the shoulder area. I will echo that design along the tail but still have to get around to it. Slowly but surely getting there...

Frieza!

I started this for the Dragonball Z facebook challenge but didn't have the spare time to complete it, I hate being busy all the time! lol! Anyway that isn't stopping me from finishing it... so I thought I would start posted some wips on my blog. In the pic here there isn't any diffuse or specular textures, just some of the meshes have a normal and displacement map purely for testing purposes. I am still unwrapping some of the hard surface parts and once that is done I will do a final bake and then begin the texturing process :-)

Vampire!



I decided that I should finish my vampire character off as it has been a long time since I started it. It turns out I decided to start the textures from scratch! I am glad that I have... I have started with the skin and I am going for a very light, no pigment in the skin, albino look... I am still playing around with it and have more to paint and the spec map is rough at the moment but you can tell what sort of direction I am going in.

Lunch Crunch

A lunch Crunch I did last week... From no ref, just messing about, doodling... I want to do a lot more of these and when I do I will post them up... I might even start recording my process?

N7 suit update...



I have started to build out the suit, it is taking a while! I am changing elements of my original design as I am figuring things out. It is a fun process but a difficult one. I am going to do some screen grabs and a few paint overs to figure out some more details. I will post those up once I have completed them.
